Classic Interiors Wins First Place for Soft Shades
2017 Visions Design & Workroom Award
Co-Owner, Lynn Ricci of Classic Interiors in Clifton, NY was recognized at the 2017 VISION Design and Workroom Competition Awards Gala, the window covering industry’s elite convention and conference.
The VISION Design and Workroom Competition presented and sponsored by Window Fashion VISION magazine, recognizes the industry’s best designs and fabrications in a variety of categories. This one-of-a-kind international competition is the “Academy Awards” of the window coverings industry.
A panel of distinguished window covering design and workroom experts reviewed over 200 entries received from designers in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Japan. Winners were announced during the U.S. window-treatment industry’s only trade show, Vision 17: International Window Coverings Expo held at the Charlotte Convention Center which took place March 8-9, 2017.
Privacy Without Obstructing View with Soft Treatments
Our winning design was for one of our client who wanted privacy without losing the view. The challenge was to find the right fabric to work with all the other element sin the room. Another words, enhancing rather than distracting from the view.
Relaxed Roman Shades Provided Privacy and View
A Paisley tree-of-life pattern in a soft blue worked perfect with the colors and materials already in the room. We fabricated relaxed Roman shades with a single center pleat, so the operable shades could provide privacy when needed yet when raised allow for full view of the backyard.
The client was thrilled because we were able to create a welcoming, cohesive space that perfectly fulfilled the clients wishes.
